JULY 6 UPDATE: The view north

Here's what the cows are going to see from the north (well, with the addition of siding):

All of these are windows that we purchased at the building supply auction in April, so they are not the exact same size or design. Eh, I say. The cows won't care, and they are the only ones besides us likely to see the windows from the outside, and the windows are all in different rooms, so no one on the inside is going to realize how different they are.

The addition of those windows really does let it quite a bit more light, and it helps with air circulation as the guys are working in here as well to have some windows on the ground floor with screens.

Dave and his dad did get a lot done this weekend -- the stairs were a big job, and it's very nice to have them completed. Getting the windows in is also a job that went much more easily with an extra set of hands.

We're really hoping for rain here -- everything needs water. The crops are looking stressed, and the garden is very thirsty at this point. There's a 60 percent chance of rain for tomorrow -- here's hoping it comes as promised!
